Technical Data Sheet
Product Code
ADSEAL ERD-510
Reactive Diluent
1. Product Description
ADSEAL ERD-510 is a C12–C14 based alcohol Alkyl Glycidyl Ether (AGE), a mono-functional reactive diluent designed to reduce the viscosity of epoxy resin systems without significantly compromising the cured mechanical properties. It reacts chemically into the epoxy network during cure, leaving no volatile residues.
ERD-510 is particularly effective in solvent-free formulations where low application viscosity is critical, such as self-levelling floorings, primers, and encapsulation compounds.

4. Recommended Applications
Self-Levelling Floorings
Reduces mix viscosity for improved flow and self-levelling characteristics.
Screeds & Mortars
Enhances workability and penetration into porous substrates.
Metal Primers
Improves wetting of metal surfaces and reduces application viscosity.
Concrete Primers & Coatings
Aids deep penetration into concrete pores for superior adhesion.
Potting & Encapsulation
Enables low-viscosity formulations for electronic component encapsulation.
General Purpose Adhesives
Adjusts rheology for improved gap-filling and substrate wetting.
5. Usage Guidelines
Recommended Loading
5–20 phr (parts per hundred resin), depending on target viscosity and performance requirements.
Compatibility
Compatible with standard bisphenol-A and bisphenol-F liquid epoxy resins. Test compatibility before use in novel formulations.
Effect on Pot Life
Slight increase in pot life due to dilution effect. Adjust hardener loading accordingly.
Effect on Tg
Reduces glass transition temperature (Tg) proportionally to loading. Keep loading ≤ 15 phr for structural applications.
Mixing
Add ERD-510 to the epoxy resin component (Part A) and mix thoroughly before adding the hardener.
Processing Temperature
15–35 °C recommended for optimal flow and cure.
